This year, we're holding our annual CTF event at the University of
Virginia on Saturday, October 20th. It will be a competition that
challenges and encourages participants to learn new techniques and
concepts related to cybersecurity, from technical skills such as
reconnaissance, cryptography, binary and web exploitation, reverse
engineering, and forensics to legal and business skills such as risk
management and incident response.
This CTF is meant to be an opportunity to learn more about cybersecurity and practice hacking in a safe and legal environment, so no experience is expected or required!
Registration:
This CTF will be open to high school, undergraduate, and graduate
students from any school (with a maximum of 1 grad student per team).
Participants will compete in teams of four--if you don't have a team,
we will match participants into teams at the competition.
Registration is free and includes breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt!
Location:
This event will be held at the UVA Darden School.
There will be free parking, and UVA transit has a Northline bus stop right outside.
Schedule:
The CTF will run from 9am to 5:30pm with breaks for lunch and a keynote.
Check-in will start at 8.
